Snr Hardware R&D Engineer
Our client, one of the world's largest computer research laboratory, is looking to hire hardware design engineer for their network components product line.
Jobs Description:
We are looking for an individual who is intelligent, highly technical and self-motivated to lead the design of Printed Circuit Assemblies (PCAs), to be based in Singapore.
You will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled R&D team, and play a lead role in hardware development of cutting-edge networking products.
You will be responsible for for high-speed digital circuit design, part selection, schematic capture, supervising layout of Printed Circuit Board (PCB), programmable EPLD development, assembly level bring-up, debugging and product validation.
You will be working closely with System/HW architects in defining product hardware requirements and liasing with a cross-functional team (ASIC, mechanical, software) throughout entire product development lifecycle.
For those with more years of working experience and relevance skills level, there would be opportunities to technically lead a team of engineers
Education:
Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D.(post-graduate) degree in Electronics, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of hardware/PCA design experience, preferrably involving high-speed digital circuits
Strong understanding of high-speed design concepts including transmission line effects, PCB controlled impedence, termination techniques, signal intergrity simulation and timing analysis
Experience with microprocessor based sub-system designs and interfaces (DDR,DDR2,QDR,PCI-X/e,XAUI,USB)
Exposure to full product design life cycle execution: definition, simulation, design, debugging, qualification, release to production, etc.
Strong familiarity with PCA development, simulation and debugging tools.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a global, cross-functional team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Expertise in one or more of these areas are highly desirable:
Signal integrity simulation and analysis using SPICE/IBIS models
Mentor Graphics Board Station CAD tool
PLD development with Verilog/VHDL
Low voltage and high current DC-DC converter design
Design and integration of large scale systems
Ethernet networking technology
