Pharmacist

Clinical Coordinator
Full-time shifts: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with limited weekends

Description: The Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator manages pharmacy activities that promote the judicious and cost effective use of pharmaceuticals at the Erie County Medical Center Corporation. The incumbent will develop and implement programs to improve the medication use process with the goal of achieving significant advances in the provision of safe, cost effective and appropriate use of medications as well as optimal patient outcomes. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy.
Supervision is exercised over staff pharmacists, interns, residents and students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered School of Pharmacy and two (2) years of clinical pharmacy experience and completion of one (1) year of an approved Post-Graduate Pharmacy Residency Program accredited by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists.

NOTE: Certification in Clinical Pharmacy by the American College of Clinical Pharmacy may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Possession of a license and current registration to practice as a Registered Pharmacist as issued by the New York State Department of Education or eligibility for licensure by reciprocation as a Registered Pharmacist by the New York State Department of Education and be licensed and registered within one (1) year of hire.
