Food Security Project, Tandag – Philippines

ACF-E’s humanitarian assistance in the Philippines has mainly focused on the consequences of the wars that had erupted recently in Central Mindanao between the MILF and the Government of the Philippines in 2000 and 2003, with various donors’ contracts (ECHO, OFDA, EC). Those recent wars had displaced around 600.000 people, in a deeply-rooted conflict, that took a violent means since the 70ies (see political analysis in the security Plan).
