Job Description :

Performs a variety of laboratory tests and assays in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations in a designated technical department. Interprets results, subject to verification by Technologist/Supervisor, and providing allowance by State regulations.

This is an excellent on-call, casual position with a flexible schedule with possible irregular work hours on an as available and as needed basis.

The position is in the Routine Microbiology / Parasitology section of the Microbiology Lab and includes Urine, Respiiratory, Genital, Wound, and other culture reading, as well as Ova and Parasite testing.
There is also some opportunity for cross-training in AFB / Mycology or Virology.


Job Requirements :

An Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent or BS/BA Medical Technology / Biological Science preferred with 1-2 years experience. certification not required but ASCP, HEW, or AMT preferred.
