A dynamic entrepreneurial nursery, with new innovative patented plant products serving national conservation, restoration, and green markets, with international headquarters in Ithaca, New York, seeks a self-motivated, proven producer for a key position on our management team. The successful candidate will have a history of five (5) plus years in building new client relationships, maintaining excellent customer service, and surpassing sales through innovative marketing and promotional programs and sales leadership. Knowledge of and sales experience to high level customers, being a self-starter and having a professional attitude may qualify you for this opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a dynamic team and the design and implementation of the marketing and sales programs for this organization. This position reports directly to the President.

Essential Functions:
· Create, maintain and execute a successful sales and marketing plan with the executive team;
· Once personal production is established, recruit, hire and train a professional sales force to fulfill the sales and marketing objectives;
· Ensure the company meets or surpasses revenue and gross margins goals;
· Find, contact, and negotiate with potential customers to develop business, create demand, and close opportunities;
· Responsible for all current sales and marketing functions including lead generation, advertising, promotions, data analysis, etc.;
· Initiate and control sales processes with new clients;
· Project a professional, positive presence in negotiations to maximize revenues and profits;
· Expertise in relationship/consultative sales process.Essential Qualifications:
· University Degree;
· Verifiable experience (prefer 5+ years) in developing and executing a sales/marketing and promotional programs;
· Proven experience selling to high level customers, nursery and/or green related markets is highly desired;
· Demonstrated ability to build sales revenue on a continuous basis through individual and team efforts;
· Proven financial expertise to develop budgets, gross margin, profit and projections to assist in the planning processes.
