Job Description

Responsibilities

- Perform critical incident stress defusing and/or debriefings (individual/group) whenever and wherever there is a need for it. Perform counselling follow-up.
- Monitor factors that could lead to stress, with respect to civilian and military staff members in the mission implementing stress management programmes for such staff.
- Improve the working atmosphere in some sections providing conflict resolution sessions.
- Collaborate with the Medical Services in providing supportive intervention and with the Personnel Section on individual cases (work related problems due to a psychological conflict resolution, need-oriented medication etc.)
- Attend meetings and committees.
- Conduct training workshops.
- Write reports and update statistics.
- Perform other related duties assigned

Requirements

- Advanced university degree in clinical psychology, clinical social work, counselling, mental health or psychiatry.
- A first degree with relevant experience may be considered.
- Additional training or certification also required in a broad range of related fields, such as alcohol/drugs abuse, post-traumatic stress management, crisis intervention, cross-cultural communication, conflict resolution
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience is required with an advanced degree and 5 years of clinical experience with a first degree.
- Great autonomy, dynamism, creativity.
- Ability to work in an insecure and isolated environment.
- Good judgement and analysis skills
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to drive a 4x4 vehicle

Conditions of Service

A 6-month contract (with possibility of extension); volunteer living allowance (VLA), intended to cover housing, basic needs and utilities, equivalent to US$ 1,874 for single person, US$ 2,124 for person with one dependant, and US$ 2,324 for person with two or more recognized dependants; hazard pay; settling-in-grant; life, health, and permanent disability insurance; return airfares; resettlement allowance.
