Electrical Engineer Job: Excellent Opportunity for Underground Electrical Projects Engineer with 10 years leadership experience within the mining industry. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to promoting the five distinctive behaviors, as identified in the New Mexico Coal Safe Production Model. Qualified candidate must have the following requirements; BS Degree in Engineering or Mining. A minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience working with longwall, continuous mining, conveyor, underground atmospheric and production monitoring systems, also surface and underground longwall mine support equipment. Working knowledge of control logic, PLC5, SLC 500, Panel View. Communicate and participate in pre-shift meetings. Monitor KPI's and be the preferred source of information for electrical engineering issues. Understand and follow SAP maintenance management processes. Plan preventive maintenance and major repairs on assigned equipment. Plan work for multiple shift operation and expect occasional overtime and emergency callouts. Manage costs and cost reporting. Become familiar with HSEC policy. Must be willing to work in both surface and underground environments. Experience with MSHA explosion proof equipment and MHSA approvals is required. Project Management and new installation is required. Must have or be able to obtain in a reasonable timeframe New Mexico Underground mine foreman's certification. MSHA Electrical certification (low, medium, and high voltage) for Surface and Underground is required. ETAP power system software experience is a plus. Successfully pass all phases on underground testing. Effective problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills is a must .
