Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Administrative/Logistic and Procurement Assistant, the Driver & Protocol Assistant, and the overall guidance of the Administrative Officer (AO), the incumbent will perform the following duties:

* Fulfill the Transportation Needs of UNESCO PEER, while ensuring the safety of Personnel and PEER partners;
* While driving always maintain professional standards (i.e. use the shortest possible routes, minimize mileage and time wastage etc), and ensure proper care and use of vehicles for the intended purposes.
* Maintain the vehicle log of all trips, update and present the vehicle logbooks every week for review/approval by the Supervisor and the AO.
* Receive and dispatch mails, and maintain records of all incoming and outgoing correspondences including pouch and other items.
* Assist in the collection and/or submission of the Visa requests, VAT exemption requests, collection of travel tickets, collection of samples, etc.
* Assist the Front Office with basic office duties such as photocopying and binding documents as requested by Logistics Assistant & AO.
* Perform official assignments requested during weekends, such as delivery and pick-up of ECHO Pouch, and shipment or air freighting of goods.
* Perform any other official tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Recruitment Qualifications

Education: Secondary Education;
Experience: Minimum of 10 years driving with a clean license,

- Work experience in the UN and/or international NGO, preferably in the emergency and reconstruction situations;

- Strong written and spoken English and Kiswahili skills.
