Co-ordinator - Human Rights of Indigenous People (PEP/08/03)

Amnesty International (AI) is a worldwide organization working to end human rights violations. As a Co-ordinator in the Identity-Based Discrimination team, focussing particularly on the human rights of Indigenous Peoples, you will provide expert advice and help shape Amnesty International’s policy development, campaign strategies and research into violations of the human rights of Indigenous Peoples. You will also advise on the development of Amnesty International’s next global campaign, on poverty and human rights.

You will have in-depth knowledge of the human rights of Indigenous Peoples as well as experience in human rights research, analytical and campaigning expertise; proven ability to develop and elaborate research standards and methodologies; good interpersonal skills; project management and organisational skills; and excellent communication and networking skills.

You will be able to work in English and Spanish, have experience in planning, organizing and prioritising work under pressure, to deadlines, as well as drafting policy and strategy papers.

Experience in working with Indigenous Peoples would be an asset.

£31,159 per annum
